I've heard of a Guild Recruitment Chat or whatever, but this idea came from a commonly looked over game these days known as Everquest II. I will explain how this would work:

One would open up the Guild Menu {g} when guildless. It would show one tab that displays invites, and another displaying a page (or filed pages, depending on how many people are using it at the time, but more on that later) of guilds recruiting. It would show the guild's name when you first see it, and when you click on a guild's name, a description written by the Guild Leader would come up on say, the right of the Guild Name. Below the description would be active officers online who would be willing to recruit. Also, to prevent the Guild Recruitment page from flooding with guilds, when all officers are off, their Guild goes off the page, seeing as it would be worthless for it not to. I think this is a pretty solid idea and should be implemented as soon as possible. I am sick and tired of hearing Guild Shouts on Public Chat ruining my conversation with another person by clogging up the chat bar. Any open suggestions would be fine, but right now, I am going to play Guild Wars.
